The First Choice Shark Cage Diving Operator For:

Become one with the seals as they swim gracefully in their natural environment when you go seal snorkeling in Cape Town. Interact with these boisterous animals in their underwater playground. The action begins as soon as you enter the water as these furry counterparts swim beside you, often mimicking your movements. The dive is located at an exposed haul-out spot for seals. There are times when the water can be rough due to waves or currents and we may divert the dive to a more protected site if conditions warrant it. A shallow section of the reef, known as the amphitheatre, is the best spot to interact with the seals. The deeper sections of the reef offer beautiful marine life, swim-throughs and large sea fans.
Is there any likelihood of seeing a shark on the Seal dive? We have not seen a shark in this area before. It is a non-breeding colony of seals and the dive site is protected by boulders and shallow canyons.
This is a private trip. (1 – 4 guests max).
We also offer Kelp Forest Dive in Cape Town and gansbaai shark tours.
The vessel you will be diving off is a zodiac rib boat, which is standard for South African diving operators. There are no facilities on board except for a small cubby hole for keys and sunglasses. We advise you to leave all your personal belongings behind.
