Luxury So Decadent
Kapama River Lodge
The majestic northern Drakensberg Mountains form the backdrop to the 64-suite Kapama River Lodge, which is positioned along a bend of the seasonal Kapama River. Glass stack doors open onto the rim-flow pool to create an al fresco experience. The pool is also a prime vantage point for game viewing. A small, permanent waterhole lies just beyond the perimeter of River Lodge spotting some of the Big 5, cocktail in hand, is quite common. In winter, a double-sided fireplace makes for a cosy spotting site.
Kapama Buffalo Camp
Reminiscent of a traditional African safari camp from a bygone era, Buffalo Camp offers the ultimate luxurious tented accommodation experience. Built from natural stone and wood, the luxury game lodge matches the traditional with the contemporary.
The 10 spacious suites are set on stilted wooden decks built on an elevated riverbank. Wooden walkways connect the suites to each other and the main lodge area. Buffalo Camp is set in the shade of tall trees and a seasonal river flows below.
Kapama Southern Camp
Southern Camp is situated in the south of the reserve. It offers luxury game lodge accommodation, warm hospitality and friendly service in a tranquil setting. All 15 suites at Southern Camp have full en-suite bathrooms with picture windows to enjoy the surrounding scenery and birdlife – an ideal place to relax with a good book or soak up the surrounding scenery. The lounge and pool deck are excellent vantage spots from which to view game. Private patios offer the opportunity to enjoy relaxing sundowners, while game watching at the same time.
Game drive
Two daily game drives are offered across all of Kapamaâs lodges at no additional cost. Guests can expect to encounter a diverse range of animal and bird species as professional trackers guide each game drive. Seeing lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo is certainly a possibility over a two-day safari in Kapama Private Game Reserve

There is no extra charge to do this activity.
Cuisine
