Thanks for writing such a thoughtful newsletter, I feel like I have been there observing along with you when I read them! It is my dream to see these sharks and the predatory behaviour you have been documenting. You are doing a great service for both shark and human understanding of these awesome creatures!
These sharks have often stirred a unique and exciting curiosity I have never been able to match with any other subject of interest in life.

SHARK BYTES
Dear Shark Lover,
Come with us as we dive with the sharks. Each month is a new adventure. Feed your passion by subscribing to our newsletter appropriately named "Shark Bytes".
Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who has visited our website and for the many encouraging compliments and comments that have been passed on to us. We have really enjoyed these.
The Flying Great White Sharks of False Bay are fast becoming world famous and yet very little is known about them. Chris and I are extremely fortunate to be the only photographers who spend the entire shark season in this area watching and photographing these incredible predators.
This gives us to opportunity to observe many amazing natural events that most people are unable to do. For this reason we put out a free monthly e-letter so that readers can hear first hand about our shark experiences. By doing so we are able to share our adventures and experience with everyone who has shown a keen interest in the sharks and to enlighten everyone on this greatly misunderstood fish.
From May until October you will be able to read about what the great white sharks are up to at Seal Island in False Bay, South Africa. Seal Island is a 64 000 strong seal colony situated in False Bay, South Africa. In South Africa's winter months the migratory fish in the bay leave to find warmer waters and the seal colony is left to sustain the great whites during this time. Concentrations of white sharks during this time are said to be the highest in the world. This not the only exciting part about this very special place. The great whites can be seen flying out of the water in an attempt to hunt seals, displaying what we personally feel is one of nature's great wonders.
Over the South African summer months of November to April we focus on diving with the pelagic sharks such as the mako and blue shark. This is in the open ocean environment off Cape Point and we are never quite sure what can come along whether it be sharks, tuna or a variety of cetacean species.
On top of this we usually have a large expedition planned somewhere in the Indian Ocean each year. These trips are all about adventure and looking for sharks in places that shark enthusiasts have not been before.
So, if you would like to learn more about sharks as well as read about each month’s experiences please subscribe to this free service.
Best wishes
Monique and Chris
