Many of you will be visiting South Africa and Cape Town to be part of the World Cup.

You will discover that there will be a large variety of things to see and do during your stay. In Cape Town one of the most popular activities is to view the magnificent Great white shark.

In Cape Town we offer an eco tourism experience that allows you to cage dive with the Great whites or just view them from the surface. The World Cup falls over an excellent time of year for sighting sharks so be sure to book in advance for this fantastic opportunity.

Some reasons to book with our company:

  • We are located in Simonstown which is just 45 minutes from Cape Town
  • We offer 2 trips daily giving you the flexibility of other activities in either the morning or afternoon. The famous Boulders Beach Penguin Colony is 5 minutes from our launch site and Cape Point Nature Reserve is 15 minutes away.
  • Seal Island is world famous for unique activity where the sharks breach out of the water. This happens most frequently at Seal Island and June & July are the peak months for seeing this behaviour. (as seen on “Planet Earth” and “Air Jaws”, both filmed from our vessel.)
  • We do also offer cage diving on our trips. All diving is on snorkel so a dive certification is not required. This is a great opportunity to experience all aspects of Great white shark behaviour.
  • We specialise in small groups and take a maximum of 12 guests per trip only with 4 guides on board.
  • This small group size means a high quality trip where our guides can focus on giving an educational & informative experience.
  • Smalls groups also allow for a longer cage dive (20 to 30 minutes per dive).
  • We have a specially constructed 3-man cage but choose to dive only 2 people at one time for a more comfortable experience.
  • We are an official permit holder for Great white shark diving. As such we operate in an eco friendly manner and no shark livers are used to attract sharks.
  • Seal Island is located in False Bay which is protected from the prevailing winter wind and swell allowing more comfortable sea conditions this time of year.

Trips and Rates:

The morning trip departs at 7am and returns at 12.30pm weather permitting.

The afternoon trip departs at 1pm and returns at 5pm weather permitting.

Please note that it is unlikely to see the breaching and predation activity in the afternoon so this trip is for cage diving only.

For both trips this includes:
  • all dive gear (sizes small to XXL are available).
  • light lunch, snacks and refreshments on board

A return transfer can be organized from Cape Town at an additional rate.
